ĐBP - On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory (May 7, 1954-2025), Điện Biên province solemnly held a flag raising ceremony and inaugurated the A Pa Chải Flagpole (Sín Thầu commune, Mường Nhé district). This meaningful structure is not only of great historical significance but also a sacred symbol affirming Vietnam’s territorial sovereignty at the border junction of Vietnam, Laos, and China.

Recently, Mường Lay town, Điện Biên province was honored with a national record: “The town with the highest density of traditional stilt houses of the white Thái ethnic group in Vietnam”. For generations, the white Thái community in Mường Lay has preserved these wooden stilt houses not only as homes but as sacred cultural symbols.

ĐBP - Deep in Nậm Pồ district, Điện Biên province, amidst the rugged mountains and Dao villages nestled in the clouds of Northwestern region, there lives a quiet man who preserves a vital part of his ethnic culture’s soul through the brush and ancient Dao Nôm script. He is Lý Lìn Siểu, a distinguished Dao artisan from Sín Chải village, Nà Hỳ commune, who for nearly 50 years has tirelessly kept alive the Dao Nôm script and traditional rituals, heritage gradually fading away.

ĐBP - On the morning of May 8, the people’s committee of Mường Lay town, Điện Biên province, in coordination with the Vietnam records organization, held a ceremony at the Mechanical Wharf of Mường Lay to announce the Vietnam record “The town with the highest density of traditional stilt houses of the white Thái ethnic group in Vietnam”.

ĐBP - Every year when the spring arrives, people of the Mông ethnic minority group in Tủa Chùa district, Điện Biên province begin clearing their fields on the hillsides, waiting for the rains to plant their new crops. During this time, the forges light up day and night, as it is when the demand for buying and repairing farming tools increases.

ĐBP - On the morning of April 13, the opening ceremony of the Bun Huột Nặm water splashing festival 2025 was held in Na Sang 1 hamlet, Núa Ngam commune, Điện Biên district, Điện Biên province.

ĐBP  -  On the morning of April 12, at the ceremonial stage of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory Monument, the Điện Biên provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DoCST) officially launched the fourth Vietnam book and reading culture day under the theme “Journey with books into the era of national rise”.
